2009 Marching Band Show
December 7, 2008
So…what would be some good suggestions for next year’s marching band show? I would like to see something different from what we have done over the past several years. But I am not sure what that would be as of today.
Give me some suggestions.

anything that isn’t patriotic, i love America and all that, but the a whole show around it is too much, we should do something people know

We should perform orchestral music, there are many great film scores out there floating around that would make great shows. i think some ones that would sound really good with marching band would be ones like star wars, lord of the rings, transformers, etc.

I like the idea of the blues jazz feel it would be a cool approach to take that type of music and apply it to marching band. Either that or a beatles show cause of course the beatles are a classic.

To to pay tribute to all the seniors and their future carrers, I think that we should do something with crosswalk safety.
No seriousley, I like the 80’s music or a movie theme that people know. It should definitely be something that people know.

The music from the second Narnia movie would be really cool including the song the call.

Well if you don’t want to do classic rock for the… x^th year in a row lets see… Well the Reflections of Form, Sound, and Light show is probably the best show you can find, but thats level 5. “Let’s get it started” by Murtha is great (pretty much anything by Murtha) its pop which isn’t quite classic rock. Just make sure you go with something that fits the marching theme, things like Wicked, or Phantom do not, in my opinion. You could do Cirque Du Soleil: la nouba if you don’t mind doing a rip of off … Solanco’s? field show from last year. And you know thats not cool.
